Der Exchange System Manager zur Verwaltung von Exchange 2003 lässt sich unter Windows 7 nicht mehr installieren.

Hier gibt es jedoch einen Patch:

1. Download von ESM for Vista https://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=3403d74e-8942-421b-8738-b3664559e46f&displaylang=en
2. Download von Orca MSI Editor https://www.technipages.com/download-orca-msi-editor.html

Die ESMVISTA.MSI nun im Orca Editor öffnen und bearbeiten:

Unter InstallUISequence folgende Einträge komplett löschen
– CA_SET_ERROR_MSG
– FatalErrorDialog


Der Exchange System Manager zur Verwaltung von Exchange 2003 lässt sich unter Windows 7 nicht mehr installieren.

– CA_SET_ERROR_MSG
– FatalErrorDialog

Nun lässt sich der System Manager problemlos installieren.
