Mitten im Herz Th\u00fcringens
\nim wundersch\u00f6nen Saaletal liegt
\ndie Stadt Jena. Eingebettet in reizvolle Landschaften, ist sie dennoch
\neine der modernsten St\u00e4dte der neuen Bundesl\u00e4nder. Eine ausgepr\u00e4gte
\nInfrastruktur (direkter Anschluss an die A4, gut ausgebautes
\nEisenbahnnetz) und moderne Industriezweige (Jenoptik AG, Intershop AG,
\nJenaer Glaswerk) verhelfen der Stadt zu ihrem Image.\n<\/p>\n

Aber auch als geistiges und kulturelles Zentrum konnte
\nsich Jena einen guten Namen machen. Die 1558 gegr\u00fcndete Friedrich-Schiller-Universit\u00e4t<\/a>
\nverf\u00fcgt \u00fcber vielf\u00e4ltige Studienm\u00f6glichkeiten, von Medizin \u00fcber Optik

Hier hielten sich Goethe, Schiller, Zeiss und Abbe

\ndie Imaginata<\/a>
\nund das \u00e4lteste Planetarium der Welt. Hier kann man den Botanischen
\nGarten besuchen, das Gartenhaus<\/a>
\nvon Friedrich Schiller oder das optische
\nMuseum.<\/p>\n

Nicht zuletzt profitiert Jena jedoch von seiner
\nreizvollen Umgebung: Muschelkalkh\u00e4nge, auf denen viele Orchideenarten
\nheimisch sind, ums\u00e4umen die Stadt, zahlreiche Schl\u00f6sser und Burgen
\nladen rundum zur Besichtigung ein.<\/p>\n

Kurz: Jena ist eine moderne Stadt mit einer bewegten
